Sasha Aleksandra Azar

about

Sasha is a Lebanese-Mexican visual artist based in Barcelona, Spain. Drawing from her third-culture upbringing, she approaches her work as both witness and storyteller: exploring themes of identity, community, culture, mythology, belonging.

Her multidisciplinary practices include acrylic, gouache, digital works, watercolor, and clay, engaging with activism, inner-child narratives, and emotional landscapes.

Influenced by Van Gogh and surrealist figures like René Magritte, Sasha employs bold color and layered symbolism in order to prompt in her viewers a reflection on their own identity, memory, and the collective shared experience.
